At Goya, we are obsessed with storytelling. In fact, the word 'Goya' refers to the 'Could it be?' that arises as you listen to a riveting story. The only thing we love better than a good narrative, is a good narrative around food. The Goya Journal is a food and culture publication focussed on India & S Asia. Using mediums as diverse as photoessays, podcasts, videos, long-form narratives, recipes, even listicles, employing voices across disciplines, we aim to offer insight into culture, politics and identity.

Founded by Anisha Rachel Oommen and Aysha Tanya, both of whom have spent several years in food and media, Goya works with writers, photographers, farmers, chefs, home-cooks, artists, entrepreneurs and storytellers to document the socio-politics of food.

Anisha Rachel Oommen has a background in digital media & journalism and brings expertise in areas of media production, events, communication and storytelling. As co-founder, she oversees Goya's business partnerships.

Aysha Tanya is the author of The Family Table, a collection of heirloom recipes from the Mappila community. As co-founder, she lends her expertise reimagining the boundaries of food media, through her role as editor of the Goya Journal.
